The balance system is made up of three systems: your eyes (visual), your ears (vestibular) and your sensory (proprioceptive) system.  The three work together to tell the brain about balance and orientation in space.  When the communication between these three systems and the brain breaks down the result is a sensation of off-balance or dizziness.  The balance system is very complex and requires speciality diagnosis for different disorders.

A full diagnostic hearing test is a key component of a full evaluation of the balance system even if you do not feel there has been a change in hearing.

We now offer comprehensive balance testing using video eye-movement recording technology.

This testing helps assess how the inner ear balance system is working and can:

  • Identify causes of dizziness or vertigo

  • Assist with diagnosis and referrals

  • Support treatment planning and rehabilitation

Balance assessments are non-invasive and performed in a calm, supportive environment, with results clearly explained.
