There are different brands and styles of aids, but, more importantly, there are different levels of technology. These range through “premium” , “mid-range”, “standard” and “entry-level”. Regardless of style, the level of technology means that the computer chip inside the aid will be capable of more and more functions, the higher the level. 
 
The price of each manufacturer’s hearing aids is determined, by and large, by the level of technology – not so much the shape, or size, or style (although there can be slight variation in price depending on how much customisation you require).
